For the Sliders:
- 1 package 12-count Hawaiian sweet rolls
- ½ pound deli ham or turkey, roast beef, or your favorite protein
- 6-8 slices Swiss cheese or cheddar, provolone, or your favorite cheese
- ¼ cup mayonnaise optional, for extra creaminess
For the Buttery Glaze:
- 4 tablespoons butter melted
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds optional, for a crunchy topping
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley optional, for garnish
Step 1: Prep the Rolls
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Take the Hawaiian rolls out of the package and carefully slice them in half horizontally, keeping the rolls connected.
Place the bottom half in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
Step 2: Assemble the Sliders
Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the rolls (if using).
Layer the ham (or other protein) evenly over the rolls.
Add a layer of Swiss cheese on top of the ham.
Place the top half of the rolls back on to complete the sandwiches.
Step 3: Make the Buttery Glaze
In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and poppy seeds. Stir well.
Use a pastry brush (or spoon) to evenly spread the glaze over the tops of the rolls.
Step 4: Bake the Sliders
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. This helps the cheese melt without over-browning the tops.
Remove the foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and slightly crispy.
Sprinkle with chopped parsley for a fresh touch (optional).
Step 5: Serve and Enjoy!
Let the sliders cool for a couple of minutes before slicing and serving.
Enjoy warm and gooey, straight from the pan!
