Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Sauce

  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes chopped
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional for a little spice
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

For Serving (Optional)

  • Cooked pasta or rice
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

Step 1: Season and Sear the Chicken

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel.
  • In a small bowl, mix the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
  • Rub the seasoning all over the chicken.
  • Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Sear the chicken for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. This step adds extra flavor!

Step 2: Make the Sauce

  • In the crockpot, add the minced garlic, heavy cream, chicken broth, parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, red pepper flakes (if using), and dried basil.
  • Stir everything together until well combined.

Step 3: Slow Cook the Chicken

  • Place the seared chicken breasts into the crockpot, submerging them slightly in the sauce.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.

Step 4: Serve and Enjoy

  • Remove the chicken and stir the sauce to blend all the flavors.
  • Serve the chicken over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes, spooning extra sauce on top.
  • Garnish with fresh basil or parsley for a final touch.
