Ingredients
  

For the Mocktail:

  • 6 fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 10-12 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 lime juiced
  • 1-2 teaspoons honey or sugar optional, depending on sweetness of strawberries
  • 1/2 cup soda water or sparkling water
  • Ice cubes

  • Extra mint leaves

Instructions
 

Prepare the Strawberries and Mint

  • In a glass or cocktail shaker, add the sliced strawberries and mint leaves.
  • Use a muddler (or the back of a spoon) to gently mash them together. Aim for just enough to release the flavors, but not so much that the strawberries become mushy.
  • Pro Tip: Be patient while muddling, this is where the magic happens! You want the mint to release its oils and the strawberries to become slightly mashed, but not pureed. This step should take about 1-2 minutes.

Add Lime Juice and Sweetener

  • Squeeze the juice of one lime into the glass, making sure to catch any seeds.
  • Add 1-2 teaspoons of honey or sugar, depending on how sweet your strawberries are. Stir everything together until the sweetener dissolves.
  • Pro Tip: Taste it after stirring to check if it's sweet enough, this is your chance to adjust the sweetness before adding the soda water. This step should take about 1 minute.

Mix with Soda Water

  • Add the ice cubes to the glass, then pour in the soda water (about 1/2 cup).
  • Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.
  • Pro Tip: Don’t stir too vigorously, you don’t want to lose the fizz from the soda water! A gentle stir will do. This step should take about 30 seconds.

Garnish and Serve
