Equipment

  • Blender
  • Citrus Juicer
  • Jigger or shot glass
  • Small plate
  • Serving glasses
  • Knife and Cutting Board

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries hulled
  • 2 oz tequila blanco or silver works best
  • 1 oz triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 –2 tsp simple syrup or honey adjust to taste
  • Ice as needed – especially for frozen version
  • Salt or sugar for rimming the glass, optional
  • Lime wedges and extra strawberries for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Prep Your Glasses

  • Run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass to moisten it.
  • Dip the rim into a plate of salt or sugar, depending on your preference.
  • Set the glasses aside to dry while you make the margarita.
  • Pro Tip: If you want a bold rim, press firmly and twist the glass slightly in the salt or sugar for an even coat.

Step 2: Add Ingredients to Blender

  • Place 2 cups of strawberries (fresh or frozen) into your blender.
  • Add 2 oz tequila, 1 oz triple sec, and 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice.
  • Add 1–2 tsp simple syrup (start small — you can always add more after tasting).
  • If using fresh strawberries, toss in a handful of ice to chill and thicken the mix.
  • Pro Tip: Use frozen strawberries instead of ice for a thicker, slushier texture without watering down the flavor.

Step 3: Blend Until Smooth

  • Blend on high for 30–60 seconds, or until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • Pause and taste — adjust with a splash more syrup or lime juice if needed.
  • If it's too thick, add a small splash of water or lime juice to loosen it.

Step 4: Pour and Garnish

  • Pour the strawberry margarita into your prepared glass(es).
  • Garnish with a lime wedge and a strawberry on the rim or skewered on a cocktail stick.
  • Pro Tip: For a fun look, freeze your garnishes in advance — they’ll keep your drink cold and look cute doing it.

Step 5: Serve Immediately

  • Enjoy your margarita right away while it's cold and refreshing.
  • If making a batch ahead, keep it in the freezer and give it a quick blend again before serving.
