For the Tea Base:
- 4 cups 1 liter water
- 3 –4 black tea bags or green tea for a lighter taste
- ¼ cup honey or sugar adjust to taste
For the Pineapple Flavor:
- 2 cups 500 ml pineapple juice (fresh or store-bought)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice for extra freshness
For Garnishing (Optional but Recommended):
- Ice cubes
- Fresh pineapple slices
- Lemon slices
- Mint leaves
Step 1: Brew the Tea
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
Remove from heat and add the tea bags. Let them steep for 5–7 minutes (longer if you want a stronger tea flavor).
Remove the tea bags and stir in the honey or sugar while the tea is still warm. Let the tea cool to room temperature.
Step 2: Mix in the Pineapple Flavor
Once the tea has cooled, pour it into a large pitcher.
Add 2 cups of pineapple juice and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Stir well to combine.
Step 3: Chill and Serve
Refrigerate the iced tea for at least 1 hour to chill.
When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the pineapple iced tea over them.
Garnish with fresh pineapple slices, lemon slices, or mint leaves for a beautiful and refreshing touch.
