Equipment

  • Tall glass
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Mixing spoon or stirrer
  • Citrus juicer (optional)
  • Ice cube tra

Ingredients

  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda like Sprite or 7Up
  • ½ cup lemonade store-bought or fresh
  • 2 tablespoons blue curaçao syrup non-alcoholic syrup
  • Ice cubes as needed
  • Lemon slices for garnish
  • Maraschino cherries for garnish, optional

Instructions

Step 1: Fill Your Glass with Ice

  • Grab your tall glass and fill it about ¾ full with ice cubes.
  • Tip: If you want it super cold, you can chill your glass in the freezer for about 10 minutes before making your drink!

Step 2: Pour in the Lemon-Lime Soda

  • Measure 1 cup of lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7Up) and slowly pour it over the ice.
  • Go slow to keep the soda fizzy and bubbly.
  • Optional: If you don’t have lemon-lime soda, you can mix half club soda and half lemonade for a similar bubbly feel!

Step 3: Add the Lemonade

  • Next, measure ½ cup of lemonade and gently pour it into the glass.
  • You’ll start to see a light yellowish layer at this point, which is totally normal!
  • Tip: If you’re using fresh lemonade, give it a quick stir first to make sure it’s well mixed.

Step 4: Drizzle in the Blue Curaçao Syrup

  • Measure 2 tablespoons of blue curaçao syrup and slowly pour it into the drink.
  • It will sink a little and then swirl around, giving you that gorgeous blue lagoon effect.
  • The drink will turn a bright ocean blue with some light swirls of yellow if you didn’t mix it yet — so pretty!
  • Pro Tip: Pour the syrup around the inside of the glass instead of straight in the middle for a more layered, fancy look.

Step 5: Give It a Gentle Stir

  • Take your long spoon or stirrer and gently stir the drink just once or twice.
  • You want the colors to blend into a brilliant blue without losing too much fizz.

Step 6: Garnish and Serve!

  • Add a slice of lemon on the rim of the glass or pop it right on top.
  • Drop in a maraschino cherry if you want to make it extra festive.
  • Optional: Add a fun drink umbrella or colorful straw for a true "vacation vibes" finish!
