  • Spoon
  • Lemon squeezer
  • Small bowl

Ingredients

For the Toast:

  • 2 slices of whole-grain or sourdough bread
  • 1 medium avocado ripe
  • 4 slices of bacon

Optional Toppings:

  • 1 soft-boiled or fried egg
  • A handful of cherry tomatoes halved
  • Red chili flakes to taste
  • Everything bagel seasoning
  • Fresh arugula or spinach

For Garnish:

  • Fresh lemon juice 1/2 lemon
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Bacon

  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  • Place the bacon strips in the skillet and cook for 4–5 minutes on each side until crispy.
  • Transfer the cooked bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.

Step 2: Toast the Bread

  • While the bacon is cooking, toast your bread slices to your desired level of crispiness. Use a toaster or a skillet for a golden-brown finish.

Step 3: Prepare the Avocado

  • Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh using a spoon.
  • In a small bowl, mash the avocado with a fork. Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, a pinch of salt, and black pepper to taste. Mix well.

Step 4: Assemble the Toast

  • Spread the mashed avocado generously over the toasted bread slices.
  • Break the cooked bacon into smaller pieces and arrange them on top of the avocado.
  • Add any optional toppings like a soft-boiled egg, cherry tomatoes, or a sprinkle of chili flakes.

Step 5: Garnish and Serve

  • Garnish with a light drizzle of olive oil or an extra squeeze of lemon juice for added flavor.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your creamy, crunchy masterpiece!
